Usually, people have fresh air outside, taking nice photos of Budapest lit up at night with some monumental, historical and cultural buildings of the previous centuries. Most of them represent the neo-gothic, neo-roman or classicist style. However, Buda Castle was first built in 1265 but after that, it had been supplemented and re-built in several times. For instance, an imposing Baroque part was built between 1749 and 1769. Before or after the cruise, it is worth visiting because usually there are exciting exhibitions about Hungarian history in it. This palace stands on the Castle Hill which can also be seen from our ship, as well as the Gellért Hill. The region of the Castle Hill serves the most wonderful historic building of the city while you can take great tours on Gellért Hill. This latter one has received its name from a bishop who was killed in a pagan rebellion in 1046. Later he was canonized. Gellért Hill offers an amazing view so once you have enjoyed our cruise, it is worth trying this other panorama, too.
